Not My Problem

/al-p͈a-no/

Definition

A Korean slang from "그건 내가 알 바 아니다" (that's not mine to care about), ending with the Gyeongsang-dialect question particle "-no." Used to cynically express total indifference to someone else's situation or problem.

Examples

  • That's your problem, not mine—al-bba-no.
  • Whether the company makes you work overtime, why would I care? Not my problem.

Origin

Spread from a League of Legends streamer broadcast in 2022, then across online communities.

Captures the detached, self-focused mood of today's online culture. Often paired with "누칼협" (who held a knife to your throat?), a similar phrase.
